Friends, firstly, I have done A LOT of research on attachment styles. There’s a lot of noise online about attachment styles. I have subsequently seen and taken all of the online quiz’s. Most of it is oversimplified, overly clinical, or designed to put people into boxes they never asked to be in. Also, most of them are overpriced with no follow through. I want to give you information, clarity and direction, especially for my readers.
So I built the attached quiz instead.

The Grit Journal Attachment Styles Quiz was created from scratch as a tool for reflection, not diagnosis. It’s meant to help you understand how you Tend to experience closeness, safety, and emotional connection in relationships.
Not to label or diagnose you.
Not to tell you what’s “wrong.”
Just to give clarity to patterns you probably already feel.
A quick note before you begin
This quiz is best taken slowly and honestly.
Answer based on how you usually respond in relationships. Don’t answer how you wish you did or how you think you “should.”
Your result reflects tendencies, not a permanent identity.
Attachment styles are learned patterns. And learned patterns can change.
Take the Quiz
After you get your result
If something resonates, sit with it.
If something surprises you, get curious, not critical. See the attached links at the bottom of this post.
Learning about your attachment style is about understanding how your nervous system operates.
And understanding is where change begins.
This quiz is part of an ongoing conversation here at The Grit Journal about relationships, self-awareness, and growth.
